My name is Julie and I am an Approved Dog Trainer with the Dog Training College and the founder of MyLuka Dog Training Solutions in King’s Lynn. I love to work with dogs that have struggles with calmness as I have a very active dobermann who just doesn’t know how to chill out! When we first brought him home there was no available puppy training available in the area so we bumbled along on our own, we have owned this breed before so knew what we were supposed to be doing! Luka had other ideas, he barked out of the window when anyone or anything passed by, he barked for attention and if I moved he was up like a shot in case he misses anything, he would bark at birds in the sky and lead pulling full strength with me hanging on for dear life! No recall whatsoever and didn’t know how to interact with other dogs appropriately, oh and he didn’t want other people anywhere near him when we went out. Apart from that we were crazy about this dog! He is my reason ‘WHY’ I help other people with their struggles because I know exactly how it feels to be there.
I have resolved a lot of these issues with Luka now and he is calming down nicely through repetition and playing games, he loves the interaction and looks forward to our training sessions, I love working with him every day and together we make a really good team!
MyLuka was created because of the special bond between owner and dog. The love that you see every day in their eyes when they greet you, when you talk to them, when you play with them, it is a pleasure to have their love and affection and every dog should be treated with kindness and respect that they deserve.
I am a certified Pro Dog Trainer and Affiliate Partner with Absolute Dogs in Devon. Each year attend workshops and seminars for professional dog trainers and get hands on training with Tom and Lauren who are two of the UK's top dog trainers, we meet other pro trainers from all around the world to share experiences. Having worked with dogs of all ages, stages and sizes there is support with lead pulling, poor recall, over excitement, lack of confidence and more to puppy training from the very start.
